Q.
Hi Sir..my baby girl is 1 month old..she doesn't sleep much..hardly she sleeps for an average of 12 to 14hrs only.is it ok? or normal? once she wakes up again it takes 2 to 3hrs for her to go into sleep again..why she takes so much time to sleep again? I feed her..but she doesn't sleep..soon.. neither she plays ..she will be quite if we hold her in our arms or else she cries if we put her on bed..

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. dear newborn baby do cry more and wake up frequently for feeding
at one episode of breastfeeding feed from only one breast (do not switch breast) so the baby gets fat dense hind milk which will keep baby full longer and probably baby will sleep more
burp baby after every feed to avoid gas and discomfort
you can also check for other reasons for crying like uncomfortable clothing and environment
