Q.
Hi sir/mam, my son had cleft palate. He is 4 month old now. I am feeding him with the help of feeding plate. After 6 months solid food has to be given. Will be the 45 degree bouncer helpful to feed my child without feeding plate?

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl3 years agoA. U Can try that there is no harm in fact it’s a very good position to keep your child when you are actually going to feed your child because Three-quarter reclining position is the best one to go for

Author of questionGuardian of 0 children3 years agoA. yes mam. but no one is suggesting surgery before 10 months as child has to gain atleast 8kg. My worry is i am struggling him to feed milk now using that obstructor. anyhow I managed and crossed 4 month. my doubt is generally doc advices to keep baby in 45 deg position to feed the child to avoid food getting in and out of the nose. so I thought bouncer rocker chair will be helpful to feed the baby as it is in inclined position.

Yes After six months you can start with all kind of semisolid food as well for the child in the meanwhile I would like to tell you if you want you can get the surgery done at an early age for the child because for cleft play it will have to get a surgery done anyways if you want you can get it done before completing the age of six months if your doctor advises you that way
