Hi Sir/Mam, my baby is diagnosed with fistula in ano and Dr. has suggested for surgery.. my baby is 9 months old and my query is whether there are chances of re-occurance and is it safe for baby to undergo surgery at this age? Pls guide..

A. it is very important to remove the fistula tract otherwise it can be having recurrent infection in the anal area the chances of recurrence are very less in small babies .
