Hi Sir/maam My 2 years old baby girl got cut on her left toe with sharp plastic board. I m worried shall we go for Tetnus injection or not because as she already had Tetnus vaccination on 25-10-2021, Kindly guide. Thank you

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. no need to take any vaccine since there is DPT vaccine including tetanus oxide and it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination and if it is need for appropriate investigations in this regard and far proper management of the problem

If your tetanus immunization is not up to date and the injury caused a break in your skin, you need a tetanus shot even if it is a small scratch or scrape.
