hi my son is 9 years old he s having cough and fever from 7 days we went to doctor and had tests on 3rd day CRP CBP widal liver and denge report is fine but till cough and fever is there why?

A. it may be viral cold and cough and that can continue for more than 7 days also. whenever there is prolonged cold and cough not improving it can be due to either infection or allergy. also when oral medicines are not working you may have to go for nebulization and the next best option would be inhaler with the help of a spacer. it is also important to take care of that and not give any sugary diet as well as all the food which might be causing increase in cold and cough. avoid outside eatables as well as packet foods like biscuits chocolates ice cream. try to prevent temperature variations which might trigger cold and cough again and again
