Q.

hi,my son is 6 days old and now he tested for jaundice and he is having jaundice of range 15,he is in photocopy for 24 hours,is it Okey to take this therepy and is it normal to have jaundice

A. Hi phototherapy is very helpful otherwise bilirubin levels can shoot up that can be harmful do as advised by your Paediatrician give exclusive breastfeeding keep baby hydrated be in regular follow up

A. Hello dear parent! Neonatal jaundice is very normal in small infants. Follow your doctor’s instructions diligently and get the treatment done as per your doctor’s advice. Continue breastfeeding your baby well on demand for better health, nutrition and hydration. Good luck and take care.
