Q.

Hi... My son is 17 months old. He is drinking buffalo milk. How much quantity should we give daily. Sometime at night times he drinks 500 ml diluted milk. Is this OK or any thing harmful to him?

A. 400ml per day max the thing is that at this age you can go for any type of milk for the child and it can be either formula milk or packet milk or powder milk or animal milk that is either buffalo milk or cow's milk for your child. initially you will have to offer outside milk in small quantity and if the child is tolerating that amount then gradually you can increase the quantity of milk but if the child is not tolerating then kindly change the type of milk you are giving . (when you boil the animal milk and then cool it you can remove the upper layer of fat and it becomes a toned milk)

A. 500 ML to 750 ML can be easily given to the child in a day if you’re sticking to 500 ML that’s a very good amount that you’re offering to the child and also three meals of proper breakfast lunch and dinner and fruits one time should be there apart from that even if you give milk three times to 750 ML and that is completely alright
