Q.
Hi, My son is 1 yr 10 month he is hardly saying 2 to 3 words but his grasping is very nice he will show you every alphabet number colour. But he is not saying words pls suggest

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. regarding speech baby starts to speak mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by two years . do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly..
if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consmult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .

but are you giving screen exposures like tv mobile iPad etc?
if yes then please stop giving it.
encourage your child by talking with him or her more.
play different games, sing rhymes and read stories with your child,it will definitely help
