Q.

Hi my son 11 years down with high fever since last 4 days today dr diagnosed it flu and gave him antiflu medicine oseltamavir morning and evening. How much time it takes to recover from flu. He took one dose but not much difference in fever. I’m worried. Plz advise.

A. it can take up to one and sometimes up to one and a half weeks for recovery whenever you are taking any medicine which has been given by your doctor you have to wait and watch for few days and follow the instructions given by the doctor and if there is no improvement after three days then take a follow up. so kindly take a follow up with your doctor who will tell you whether any change in medicine or any other investigation is needed or not .

A. These all are infections they can take about 5 to 7 days to subside in general in some cases it could be 3 to 5 days also depending upon the severity of the situation that is there so you can wait till the time of seven days yet if you do not see your child getting better during that time then you may check with your doctor regarding that
