hi my kid is having loose motion from past 10 days, foul smell is also comming from stool.. doctor prescribed zincogut 5 ml for two weeks.. it's been a week.. in between for a day stool was normal, he had pastry and again motion started loose... please suggest.. I am worried

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. no it is not advisable but you can give curd and buttermilk in its place because that product contains large amount of sugar which will aggravate the problem

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. advisable to get a stool examination which will tell which type of problem the child is suffering from kindly give ORS for every episode of loose motion and give simple diet made from rice dal and khichdi curd buttermilk apple banana and the natural probiotics from the curd will help in decreasing the loose motion and if it is not improving in one or two days then kindly meet your doctor. also you cannot give outside milk to the child and you cannot give cerelac also but you can continue to give breastfeeding if going on for next few days
