Q.

hi my daughter is 7month and 27days old she is suffring from fever but when i give medicine till that time she is fine again after some time fever comes what shoud i do her head is so hot .

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out . Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful . Doctor consultarrtion shoulhd be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

A. It is the nature of the fever it repeat every six hours and mostly it stays for about 48 to 72 hours even after medication if it does not subside within 72 hours and you should take a consultation with your doctor onesWrite Your Answer Here
