Q.
Hi My daughter is 5 yrs, she having constipation problem gave her alopathy medicines past 10days, during the medicine period her motion was ok n now her medicines course is over... Still she has started facing constipation problem since yesterday n today she feels like going for potty but not able to ... N now she is afraid due to the pain... Kindly advice what can be done for constipation

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. kindly note that any constipation medicine only gives artificial fibre that is will work till the time it is given and will stop working when the course is complete. that is it does not make any changes in your body to make constipation disappear but it only gives relief by extracting water in the stool to make it soft. you will be able to decrease the medicine that is constipation medicine if you increase the natural fibre otherwise you will have to continue the medicine tell the body becomes mature enough to wipe out constipation

shilpi BhandariMom of 4 children4 years agoA. hello mom in case of svere constipation apply mustard oil on the place of passing motion along with healthy and nutritional diet which is full of fibre and give warm water every time and add two or three drops of warm ghee in her milk one time a day
