Q.

Hi.. my daughter is 4 yrs.. last sunday she had fever till wednesday.. now its her 4th day without fever but today her reports were positive for dengue.. she feels better today..also active and eating well from the other past days..her platelets are fine.. still i will be consulting our doctor tomorrow.. any extra precautions?? Please suggest what to do..??

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hfours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen andvf mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

A. If Everything is already good then I don’t think so you need to worry about it but yes you should just focus on good and healthy liquid diet for the child because since now the dengue result has come positive it’s better that you do pay attention to all of liquid diet
