Hi, my daughter is 22 months old , she did not start talking, may I know, when baby's start talking and call mama, papa etc.

some words she use to tell like baba, mama aja etc, but she won't call to that particular person as papa mama.

same is with my son 
knows more than 10 words but words are not meaningful,like he calls everyone dada mama baby 
went to a child psychiatrist 
after taking a brief test  doctor said my boy is at high risk of autism
as I know there is no cure for autism 
doctor suggested activities and therapy classes
first I made my self very clear that YES MY CHILD IS AUTISTIC(because if I will think he is ok than I will not be able to take other steps towards development of my child)
second I stopped giving him a single minute of screen time
Third I left him to roam here and there  play and do whatever he like 
and taking him out every day and teaching him like see this is bird,fly fly fly 
after 3 to 4 days I started seeing a lot of drastic changes in my child 
just after 10 days he is saying 
fly fly for birds
boo boo for potty 
de de for take it
beep beep for cars
mum mum for water etc
it's not necessary to call car by saying car
at least he started saying things with meaning that is more important at first place

the thing I want to say is all children are different but if someone's baby started talking late the same is with your child it's not true everytime 
take a( free m chart test) available in Google for precaution 
than consult a doctor 
even if doctor is saying anything wrong 
donot worry 
spend more and more time with your baby
talk

after 12 days only, I knew that doctor was wrong my child is not autistic he had speech and language delay 
it wasn't doctor fault he decided on basis of what I said

take a M-chart test for ur satisfaction than consult a doctor dear
