Q.

Hi. My daughter is 2 year 1 month old now. She have only 7 tooths (lower jaw - 4, upper jaw - 3). So she is not able to chew the foods properly. So she rejects finger foods. Rice, she just swallow it. She doesn't chew. Is it because of the teeth issue?

A. teach her how to chew by eating beside her , refusal to the foods is probably duento teething. When babies are getting their teeth because of swelling and irritation in their gums they refuse to you able foods so try out more liquid consistency and soft foods during this time. Massage the gums gently with clean finger. Give teethers.
