Q.

Hi my daughter is 2 and half months old.she got fever and cold whenever i try to give medicine she is doing vomiting and crying. what should i do to give her medicine??

A. Hello, your baby girl is 2.5 months old and she is having a fever and cold but she doesn’t like any medicine so don’t give her a bath and use vicks rub

A. Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor as there may be some associated factor . As the first line of treatment you can give steam inhalation which would be helpful . Cough Syp should be given only after a proper evaltuation .Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and yxxou can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
