Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. The first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. Give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever To body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. Higher medicines whether required or not will be told by the doctor. at this age the child should pass stool regularly. if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation. give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child it is important to give fibre diet from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits avoid giving more than 400 ml milk everyday and avoid giving packet and processed foods as well as biscuits and refined food adding papaya , fenneel seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapple banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation
