Q.

hi my daughter is 10 months old, she is having fever since yesterday morning as she is teething. she had 99.5 fever yesterday early morning and then the entire day there was no fever. but today again early morning the fever was 100 and even now she has 100 fever. we gave her paracetamol 1.1 ml as per weight. she has no other prb no cough no congestion and no cold. she is active as well. just wanted to know is it normal to have fever like this? while teething.

A. the process of eruption of teeth is a physiological one there is no relation to fever and the baby having teeth Fever in the baby is because of the response of the body to any foreign infection there will be rise of temperature to fight against the infection treat the baby with paracetamol only if the temperature is more than hundred degrees Fahrenheit
