Q.

Hi my daughter has wheezing problem . She coughs more during evening and night when put to bed . So doctor prescribed montelukast levocetrizine 5 ml during evening . I’m giving her the syrup at 10pm because that’s when she coughs the most. The syrup lasts for few hours and then she starts coughin again . What can i do

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only gafter a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if ffever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. Ask your doctor and go ahead with nebulising your child goes nebulisation is going to be really very helpful in this case along with that you can also give steam to the child Ko 30 seconds rice and a day that is also going to be quite helpful for YouWrite Your Answer Here
