Q.

Hi my daughter has turned 5 months now .She isn't having enough sleep in the daytime as compared to earlier months .She only takes short naps of 15-20 mins now in daytime .at night also she wakes up looking for feed for 5 -6 times .Is everything normal

A. Hai good morning !! As baby grows requires more feed compared to early months. Until 2-3 months baby's sleep through out the day 16-18 hours but it reduces while baby grows. If they had tummy full feed they will sleep at a stretch 2-3 hours too. Have lactating foods in diet to improve milk supply. Rusk, roasted bread, papaya,chikoo, bottle gourd, Poppy seeds, garlic milk , garlic in curries, kheema, ajwain water, saunf water. Or you can introduce formula milk simultaneously with breastmilk. From 6 month onwards you can start semi solids once a day.
