Hi, My baby’s poop seems blackish in colour . She is 2 months and 25 days old. Please let me know if it is normal. Just a word- she is taking oxyfer (iron) drops once a day.

ExpertDr.Deepinder Kaur DhawanObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. iron supplements change poops color to black. please give only breastmilk till completion of six months. feed in upright position and burp in-between and after feeding sessions and give colicaid drops thrice a day

Hello ma’am Your answer is in your question only since you are saying that your child is having iron drops on an everyday basis which is why the colour of this tool is completely black. It’s very common with kids or adults were on iron supplement to have black motion that’s completely normal
