Hi, my baby is having cold, can I use olive oil for her massage as I heard olive oil is cold and it should not be used in winters and if baby is having cold. Instead of using olive oil mustard is better in cold. is that true. pls advise

Nemo DasMom of a 10 yr 8 m old girl7 years agoA. Try mustard oil, add ajwain n garlic and bring it to boil n then cool it and strain it. use this regularly till baby has cold. it helps de congest phelgm.

Shilpi ChoudharyMom of a 9 yr 1 m old boy8 years agoA. you can heat some garlic in mustard oil and apply 2-3 times nicely on the chest. It will help. Also you can roast sum garlic and ajwain and tie it in a hanky and keep near baby pillow. It vl open nose blockage.

I use homemade oil for my kids. just heat mustard oil n add crushed garlic n ajwain in it. let it cool. apply little bit on feet hands back throat chest before sleep. it does wonders. I have never given any medicine for cough n cold to my kids for four years. just this oil n haldi milk works the Best

Hello dear Yes you can use olive oil..plus also use almond oil its good..if cold is there then use almond oil and also run a plain water steamer in your room without any vicks in it and also apply some almond oil over the baby's chest and nostrils..
