Q.
Hi, My baby is 8 Months old ..She has fell down from bed today and I didn't notice how did she fall .. whether the body or head is hurt...she cried for a while and seemed normal .. Anything to worry in future ? kindly suggest

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like t paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the tgime .

You Just says your child for another 24 to 48 hours if you see that your child has any abnormal behaviour or child want it suddenly out of the blue then it could be a sign for internal injury so just monitor your child really very well to have further clarity on the situation
