hi my baby is 5 months old..he is having mild throat infection and cough . doctor gave asthalin syrup..is it safe for babies

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussrives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if feverr is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Write Your Answer Here I didn’t not been saved the doctor would have never advise you to go for it in the first place so if your doctors advised to go for a certain medication you can watch certainly go ahead with it because they know what they are advising you better than WhatsApp
