Q.
Hi, my baby is 45 days old (daughter). Since two weeks I m observing she sleeps only for 6 hours a day! Is this not too less for a newborn considering they should sleep 17-18 hours everyday. She gets disturbed and wakes up in middle anytime.. pls suggest

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist4 years agoA. if its a new change , it can be due to growth spurt. babies sleep less, feed more or less when acheiving new milestone. this is temporary.hang in there keep on Breastfeeding , do not introduce formula, supply will increase eventually
