Q.
hi ... my baby is 4 months old... she got fever 101.4 ... I gave paracetamol.. but it is not subsiding.. 101 is coming for every 4 hours... i am so worried

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature.
also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only xconsider it as fever and give paracetamol.
higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation.
after giving xfever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving. keep the child in cool atmosphere
