Q.
hi my baby is 4 and half month old... passing greenish watery stools 8 to 10 times per day since 4 days please suggest medicine...

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. the baby is only 4 months of age and green colour stool in the baby is absolutely normal if you are giving baby only mothers feeding probably there is no need of any medicines

usually it is normal among young babies to pass green stool in watery consistency.
in breastfed babies,it is caused by imbalance between foremilk and hindmilk.
so feed your child on each breast at least 20 minutes so he or she can get full fat hindmilk well.
make changes in your diet also as it might be a reaction to the food which you ate.
but if a child passes green stool in too much watery consistency with mucus and foul smell then please visit your pediatrician
