Q.

hi my baby is 38 days old now....after 1 week of birth i found some jerky movements....doctor diagonised it is benign neonatal sleep myoclonos....and also suggest sodium valporate syrup....plz tell about the benign sleep myoclonos....is it harmful in future

A. hi, your baby is 1 month old now sleep myoclonus is nothing but the sudden jerks of hands or legs which anyone feels during sleep.many a times during dreams you feel like falling and you move your hands or legs likewise

A. Hello ma’am Please discuss it with your paediatrician only in with detail because he will be the right person to make you understand every detail and can clear clear all your doubts that you have. And also I would advise you to take a second opinion about the same thing as sometimes if it could be due to some other issue as well so it would be better that you consult a child specialist as well regarding the same
