Q.

Hi, my baby is 3 mo 4 days old and weighs 5.4 kg. Is the weight normal or is he underweight? My paediatrician has suggested giving him additional milk through pumped milk or formula. I am confused as my baby is not cranky and is fed whenever he cries for hunger. He is otherwise active and responsive as well. Thank you

A. Hey mommy, Your baby's weight is perfectly fine. And if your baby is happy, healthy and growing well then don't give formula milk. Nothing can replace breastfeeding. It is best for the baby and boost immunity. So I would suggest you to breastfeed only.

A. Hello It's extremely good to feed your baby through breastmilk. And your baby's weight is appropriate as per age. As long as your baby in active in waking hours and urinating around 8 times in a day, this ensures your baby is well fed and hydrated. Your milk supply is enough to properly feed your baby. Avoid formula milk as much as you can.
