Q.

hi, my baby is 3.5 months old. he used to have frothy poop since first month intermittently. but from past 3 days, I am noticing frothy poop consistently. poop color is yellow and green sometimes. His current weight is 6.2kg. birth weight was 3kg. he is exclusively on breastfeeding. is it something to worry or this is normal?

A. weight is good. froathy Or foamy stool is especially common in babies and is not usually a cause for concern. Foamy stool in babies is often a sign that they are getting an overload of lactose, a sugar found in breast milk. If a baby has foamy stool frequently, it may be a good idea to breast-feed for at least 20 minutes on one side before switching to the other. This will ensure that the baby is receiving
