Hi my baby is 2months 21 days old. m supposed to be feeding him 6 scoops of formula milk and 180 ml water. I just started giving him 5 scoops witg 150 ml water yesterday. he drank at first at 5 pm so expected feed time would be after 5 hours? but he started crying bitterly at 8pm, so my mom in law told me to give him his feed, I gave him only 3 oz.
later in the night he refused to finish his feed and finished only 3 oz and continued in the morning as well.. afternoon I tried giving him 5 oz but again he drank only 4 oz.
pls suggest me if I should continue to give him 4 oz coz the milk powder is getting wasted and during this lockdown times, at times the formula milk is out of stock

Basically your baby needs 30 ml of formula per hour of not feeding,circus preferable to feed every two to three hours. Try using the slowest flow nipple and do paced bottle feeding. Try 90 ml every three hours and do feed of baby demands.

I m not getting any milk so can't breastfeed. also it's mentioned on the formula milk tin that for 2-4 months baby, 5 scoops with 180 ml. 
but m still giving him 4 scoops with 140 ml, after every 4 hours.. these 2 days he cries bitterly and my mom in law says we shoukd feed the baby when it demands even after 3 hours.. m completely confused

Dear Mamma, why are you starting formula now? Please continue to breastfeed as long as baby and you are comfortable.. especially at this time of disaster Breastfeed will keep the baby safe and immune

Please give 3 ounces every three hours. Giving too much in one shot could cause problems.
