hi my baby is 21months old yet not start speaking he only says abba , papa maa, mam , dede,kya that's it . most of time he saying abba . plz help

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist3 years agoA. by 1 year baby will be saying monosyllables atleast. it will improve eventually, and by 2 years baby should be able to follow simple commands and should speak 2 word sentences. by 3 years it's 3 word sentences. may vary a little

Give your time and attention
Do tummy time and cycyling movement of legs regularly
Give healthy protein rich nutritious food take seasonal fruits and vegetables which is rich in all minerals and vitamins maintain hydration
Offer different varieties of food fruits vegetable pulses whole grains milk products in different shape colours patterns to make meal more interesting children are fussy eater at this age its all normal and common you can give food in puree liquid form or give some juice soup milkshake etc
