Q.

hi my baby is 21 days old..she is continuously taking feed with 30 minutes interval....and she is suffering with colic gas for long time...why she is taking this kind of feed? is it is OK to feed a baby continuously...?

A. Hi, you need to maintain a gap of two hours between each feed. You need to feed once in every two hours for about 20 minutes that is 10 minutes on the left breast and 10 minutes on the right breast. After feeding burp your baby well. Do not feed within two hours. Check the urine count baby should pass urine 6 to 8 times in a day that means baby is getting enough feed. If the urine count is less than six times in a day that means baby is not getting any feed you need to go for top feed. For gas problem, do tummy time and give a gap of few seconds and then feed your baby. To Cyclic leg exercise. Be very gentle and cautious while doing leg exercise and tummy time.Write Your Answer Here
