Q.

Hi my baby is 2.9 year old. She is having swollen tonsils more on right side of throat without any fever and pain since 7 days. She is regularly garles two times a day and but swollen tonsils are as it is. We have consulted the pedittraincian he said tonsils will go by its own and prescribed maxtra p syrup and today is last day of medicine. Very light small redness is also their in one side of throat. Please advise what to do?

A. Good evening sir, My baby is having redness in her throat near to tonsils. Is it ok or it's a sign of viral or bacterial infection please suggest. Her avoidance of good increases but we dont find any pain while swolling food.

A. that's best to decrease swelling and congestion. no side effects yes the water with salt should not be ingested

A. tonsils are part of the body. in children specifically they get enlarged due to repeated infections. the enlarged tonsil will decrease in size only after a specific age. most commonly regress by 7 to 8 years of age.the child is not having any problem of pain fever and difficulty in swallowing then do not worry about the size and colour of the tonsils.
