Q.
Hi, my baby is 18 month old , he is getting dry cough for last 1 week and even while sleep he is getting more, not able to sleep. it's not seems to be a cold. we checked with pediatrician he suggested salbutamol sulphate syrup ip asthalin 3ml 3 times per day. Is this medicine safe for this age group babies ? and what we can do for this dry cough?

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. if it's not subsiding it's important to rule out any allergic component to the cough or due to reflux follow up with your doctor's advice maintain hydration and keep a track on urine output

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and if the doctor has prescribed the medication after evaluation then no need to worry and also give your baby mix of honey and ginger juice and also can give baby Luke warm water with honey.
