A. Hello, Possibly your baby is teething. You don't need to stop breastfeeding when your child starts biting. Try to: Attempt a deep latch: Tickle baby's mouth with your nipple from the nose to the chin until the baby opens the mouth wide and then latch the baby on. AND Be alert during nursing, unlatch with your little finger when the baby is done actively nursing. OR Gently push baby's face inside your breast so that baby unlatches. OR Gently tell the baby not to bite Try NOT to Scream and scare the baby OR Flick baby's cheeks It may result in a nursing strike. The phase is temporary and it doesn't last too long. Hang in there, and tell yourself that this too shall pass.

A. hi mom. if the child has a habit of biting the nipple then just put the finger inside the mouth and release from breastfeeding. divert the baby by doing something else or speaking with the baby while breastfeeding. it can be because of irritation in the gums or some other reason.
