Q.
Hi, my baby is 1.4yrs old. Sometimes, he poops 4-5 times in a day but in small quantity. What could be the reason?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Gas in smaller babies is a very common and a Matter of concern most of the times for care giver.
its mostly because of immaturity of the gut . formula feed or early introduction of cows milk in babies may be aggravatinghf factor. proper burping after each feed is very important.
Enzyme preparations like aglozyme or vitazyme can be beneficial.Also colicaid drops can be given.

It Is absolutely normal for a child to pass motion 4 to 5 times in a day till the time it is not diarrhoea and till the time your child is not having hard motion are not passing a motion immediately after taking a meal so 4 to 5 times motion in a day would be considered normal nothing to worry
