Q.

Hi my baby has got stool infection which dr treated with antibiotics for 6 days now after 6 days when stool test done again everything shows clear but it still shows occult blood present can it be because of the antibiotics? Occult blood was present when we first detected the infection too! I am just worried if baby might have nec can a 4 month old baby who is active rolling over get NEC? Or is the occult blood just because of antibiotics

A. the present occult blood may take time to get reduced after treatment so just continue with the treatment of antibiotics to the baby regularly and have regular followup with your doctor

A. Her treatment was for 6 days it’s over as of now it will subside right it’s nothing serious?
