Q.

Hi, my baby girl was born with a head circumference of 35 cms. She is 5 months old and her head circumference is now 45 cms. Should I be worried? As per the growth chart, it shows beyond 99 percentile.

A. generally the head circumference will be increasing 2 cm per month in first 3 months of age then one cm in 3 months finally half cm last 6 months of age See serial measurements of the head circumference
