hi my baby girl is 8 months old. she has fallen from bed on her face and got slight bleeding from nose. I made her calm and now she is ok and sleeping with calm. How can I know that she is fine?

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrrent fall injury for a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such cdase which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .

A. If your baby appears uninjured and is acting normally after a fall from a bed, it's likely they're A-OK. If you have any concerns, call your doctor and ask what symptoms you might watch for and for how long. In the meantime, remember squirmy and rolling babies can move fast.
