Q.

hi my baby girl is 7 months old . she is having cough while she is in sleep. she can't sleep well because of cough. what should I do and what should I give so that she sleep well.

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicihine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.u if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. If you have any medicine is available at home then you can go ahead with that otherwise you can add some ginger juice and jaggery powder together make it like a little bit so water consistency and that you give to the child ginger juice is going to be very helpful in reducing the problem
