Q.

Hi , my baby boy is not peeing much as earlier. He had suffered from the loose motion. Now urinate only 4 times in a day . we consult paediatrician and done urine and stool test . urine protein found trace other is normal. but doctor said trace is common it will go away by own , we should feed baby plenty of water. I am doing the same still he is not peeing as much as earlier. please suggest me is it normal or should I consult another paediatrician

A. My son has no fever and vomiting. But his lips is dry and peeing less as compared to earlier. I am staying at Delhi temparature is very high here , could this be tha reason. I am worried. Please suggest should I go for another paediatrician.

A. Thank you Sir for responding. I am attaching test report which is done In Base hospital delhi. Doctor said report is normal I have to continue with zinc and feed him more water. Now my son loose motion is improved he pass stool 2,3 times a day. But my concern is my baby is not peeing as earlier today he pee 4 times till now. please find my attachment and please suggest me what should I do

A. may be dehydration because of that urine output is less Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment
