Q.
Hi, My baby boy is 22 months old. He is having fever suddenly since today morning. He is also having stinky and sticky stool. I have given him calpol 250 at 12:45 pm, but the temperature is not going down. His body temperature is 101.2 degree F. please suggest what to do?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 8 yr 2 m old boy3 years agoA. You can give paracetamol to the child for fever and this medicine can be repeated maximum 4 times per day. It is given according to the weight of the child and according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having. Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever Important to do body sponge and give plenty of fluids to drink to pxrevent dehydration and decrease body temperature. Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen xclothes when the child is having fever Higher medicines for fever is required or not will be told by the doctor
