Q.
Hi My 8 month never response when i try talking he just ignores and plays...he do respond to loud noise He stays quiet and looks around smiles at everyone even at strangers..he says papa sometimes...but nothing else..whenever he put toys in his mouth he sings aaahhhhh and while sleeping i rock him in my arms he sings aaaahhh aaahhhh thats it...i m so so worries why is he not responding by aahh uhh when i talkes he just looks at my face and lips😞

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. This is too early to expect him to respond. don't worry. He will start responding soon. The attention span will be less for babies at this age. Also Babies talk around 18 months. They will be able to say simple words, point to objects and call their name. Every child is different and there could be early and late speakers.
