Q.

Hi, my 5 months old son who consume formula milk (MMS Stage 1) going motion in green and yellow shade, is this normal or has to consult doctor. ( a pic of the same is attached) kindly suggest

A. Sir, frequency is only once or twice in a day, we are concerned about the colour of it and to understand if that is normal or indicates anything to be taken care of. attaching a clear pic for your reference. Kindly suggest

A. loose motion is because of increase motility of intestine, which may because of some infection, or maybe because of some toxins released by the bacteria it may be because of some viral infection also and most of the time lose motions are associated with fever or vomiting or loss of appetite to control it. Supportive treatment is required where proper hydration needs to be maintained. So some probiotic and over solution are required. Antibiotics may be required, but it should be given only in guidance with the doctor, maintenance of proper hygiene is very important. gWatch for the urine output. If loose motions are very frequent.
