Q.

Hi, my 11 months old boy's poop is having white worms. not sure it's a mucus or worm. if at all it's a worm, how can we get rid of it. seeking your valuable suggestion. thanks

A. worm infections are not very common before one year of age. if you take care of regular hand washing as well as preventing dirty things from going inside the oral cavity of the child then this problem will not occur. it is advisable to take help of a doctor who will tell you whether the child is suffering from worms problem. usually medicines are given as a single dose and very rarely as a multiple dose go for stool examination to confirm

A. Well first you need to be sure about it what exactly it is and if you are unable to understand it and get a stool test done that is going to give you a proper clarity as per the situation and accordingly the medication for the problem can we suggested by your paediatrician
