A. After recovering from typhoid, it’s common for a child to have a reduced appetite as their body is still regaining strength. To help your child get back to normal eating habits, focus on offering small, frequent meals that are easy on the stomach, like boiled vegetables, soft rice, porridge, or soups. Ensure the food is nutritious but not overwhelming. You can also try offering favorite foods that are mild in flavor to encourage eating. Keep meals fun and relaxed without pressure, and encourage eating together as a family to make mealtime enjoyable. Additionally, keep offering hydrating fluids like water or oral rehydration solutions. If the reduced appetite persists or your child shows signs of weakness, consult a pediatrician to ensure they are recovering well and to rule out any other issues.
