Hi Ma'am Whats the best way to cure chest congestion and cough ? My Daughter (3.7yrs old) is often catching cold and getting sick . She is a school-goer. Whats the best immunity booster foods that can be given and also to gain weight ?

A. For improving the immunity you should be giving a healthy and balanced diet. The child's regular meals should comprise of cereals, pulses, greens, vegetables, fruits, nuts, dry fruits, dairy products etc., There should be more protein and Vitamin C intake which are very good in building immunity. For weight gain, You can add full cream cows milk, eggs, meat if non vegetarian, potatoes and all diary products like butter, curd, ghee, cheese, paneer etc. Add dry fruits and nuts like almonds, pistachios, cashew, walnut, fig, dates in the child's regular diet. They will help to increase weight.
