Q.

#paediatrician Hi last week my baby suffered from high fever, cough and fast breathing problems. but after visiting doctor they suggested Calpol and if fever persists for three days they told we can do blood test. but luckily after two days fever is gone, breathing is also seems to be normal. but he is still coughing vigorously. just want to know the symptoms of coronavirus for babies. Fever will persist in case of coronavirus. do u advice us to do necessary tests or not required? please suggest

A. Hi, thanks for the query. Since symptoms of normal flu are quite similar, so no need to worry. Since there is no fever and Shortness of breath so no need to investigate. Cough can take about 7-10 days to subside.

A. This looks like a normal viral flu more than covid 19. Treat her cough immediately have a follow up with the doctor regarding that.If your still unsure for it to to be covid get a test done for your peace of mind. Otherwise I dont see the need at all.Why to poke a child unnecessarily?
