Hi, I'm a mother of 3 yr old. we live in a joint family, and I am a working mother. Because of my job I have to go out for 4-5 hrs, my daughter spends most her time with in-laws. Every one in the family is liberal with her, they all let her do whatever she wants, I on the other hand scold her and restrict her in somethings where denial is required. sometimes I also have to be harsh. Because of this from last few day my daughter has started rejecting me. she denies to spend time with me, she prefers to spend more time with my in-laws. and she also says that she doesn't like me. I don't mind she spending time with them, but the denial and rejection kills me. It hurts a lot when she says that she doesn't likes me. How can I change her this mindset. I fear she'll get distant from me. please help.
